• Name— provided when you register for a session.
• Email address— provided when you register, RSVP, or contact us.
• Business name— provided during registration.
• Your question about AI and automation — optionally provided during registration.

Why we collect it

We use your data for the following purposes:

• Registration— to register you for sessions and manage seat availability.
• Communications— to send you confirmation emails, session reminders, post-event follow-ups, and occasional updates about Automation School.

Our lawful basis for processing your data under UK GDPR is legitimate interest (providing the service you signed up for) and, where applicable, your explicit consent.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored and processed using trusted third-party services for website hosting, member management, and email delivery. We select providers that handle data responsibly and in line with applicable data protection standards.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties beyond those we use to operate Automation School. Data may be transferred outside the UK where our providers operate servers internationally, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Email communications

When you register for a session, you will receive transactional emails including your confirmation, session reminders, and post-event follow-ups. We may also send occasional updates about upcoming sessions and Automation School news.

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time by clicking that link or by emailing us at hello@automationschool.co.uk.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your personal data for as long as you remain subscribed to Automation School. Your data is kept until you unsubscribe or request its deletion.

You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@automationschool.co.uk. We will delete your records from our systems. Note that data already processed by third-party services (such as sent emails) cannot be recalled.

Your rights under UK GDPR

Under UK data protection law, you have the following rights:

• Right of access— request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification — ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to erasure— ask us to delete your personal data.
